Scholarship Programme

Monthly scholarship and mentoring until graduation

Scholarship Programme

Ten months of monthly scholarship for high school and university students: 3,500 TRY for high school, 6,000 TRY for university.

3,500 – 6,000 TRY per student per month

The Scholarship Programme is the foundation's first and longest-running activity, continuing since 2009. We give monthly cash scholarships for 10 months, from September to June, to high school and university students who struggle to stay in school for financial reasons. This year 520 young people, 280 in high school and 240 at university, benefit from the programme.

Scholarship amounts (2026-2027)

  • High school student: 3,500 TRY per month
  • University student: 6,000 TRY per month
  • Additional housing support for students who need a dormitory or rent

Who can apply?

Students whose monthly household income per person is below roughly 14,000 TRY, who are doing well at their school and who do not receive a full scholarship elsewhere may apply. Income documents, grade average and an interview are scored together. We recommend applicants use our pre-check tool to see an initial score.

Support after the award

Each scholar is matched with a volunteer mentor. We ask for a grade update at the end of each term, only to keep the scholarship going and never to penalise. Graduates guide new scholars through our alumni network.

Scope of service

  • 3,500 TRY high school, 6,000 TRY university per month
  • Regular payment over 10 months
